“The decision to face darkness, even if it led to overwhelming pain, showed me that the experience of loss does not have to be the defining moment of our lives. Instead, the defining moment can be our response to the loss. It is not what happens to us that matters as much as what happens in us.” (Jerry Sittser, A Grace Disguised)
“The soul is elastic. It can grow larger through suffering.” (Sittser)
“The quickest way to reach the sun is to head east, plunging into darkness… Choice is therefore the key.” (Sittser)
“I was given the gift of a handicap.” (The Message)
Anger
Bitter
Cynical
Depressed
Envy
Fear
Guilt 內疚

i really like the piano intro follow by bible verses and pastor's prayer. i know this hymn well, "because He lives", but this was the first time i am so moved, the lyrics flying through my mind, together with the experience i have with HIM, the ups and downs He have been there for me. thanks again for putting the sermons up with share with those who cannot attend your service. may i know who play the music? it is difference from what i am used to hear, and i love it!! gg
